Printed on fine cotton, this design by Eric Ravilious for a child’s handkerchief dates from the spring of 1941. It is based on the original lithograph which Ravilious produced for The Cotton Board but was not commercially manufactured. This version was hand-coloured by the artist as a present for a family member. Approx. 42 x 42 cm
It is packed in an elegant grey presentation string-and-washer envelope with a descriptive insert.
