The gallery couldn’t function without its trusty team of Invigilators who welcome the 12,000 or so visitors who visit us each year. This has been training week, where as well as learning how to open, close and manage the gallery, we also get a sneak peek at this season’s exhibitions. Colin Wilkin, the Keeper of the Fry’s Collection, whetted our appetites for Fry’s Popular Delights which he has co-curated with Mark Hearld, and Michelle Thompson introduced us to her Papercuts: 30 Years of Collage and Illustration. Michelle and Colin delighted us with their enthusiasm and the depth of their knowledge.
We are all really excited by this year’s exhibitions. We hope you will be too, and we can’t wait to welcome you when we open on Sunday April 5th.
