As we look ahead to a new exhibition year, we are delighted to announce that the Fry Art Gallery has appointed a new Chair, Mark Myers to succeed David Oelman, who stands down at the beginning of March 2026.
Mark’s professional background is at board level in Banks, Building Societies and Insurance Companies, and he is currently coming to the end of a number of non-executive director and trustee roles. Mark has a broad range of cultural interests across the arts, is a life member at the Fry, and admits to having made a purchase or two at the annual sale.
Of his appointment, Mark says: ‘I am delighted to follow David Oelman as Chair of Trustees and look forward to guiding the next stage of the Gallery’s development supported by a dedicated Board of Trustees and a fantastic band of volunteers who give so generously of their time.’
We are incredibly grateful to David for standing in at short notice at the end of 2024, and for holding the fort pending Mark’s appointment.
We are pleased to welcome Mark, and really look forward to working with him as our new season approaches.
