Qualifications:

Alan was self-taught as a potter and set up his first studio in 1961, making fine stoneware with high-fired glazes. He first exhibited in a young potters show at Primavera in London in the 1960s. This his work is held in a number of museums and galleries including the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge.
